It’s cats. With things on them. Genius.

A very long ITH thread discusssing Small Stakes Holdem
Internet Texas Hold’em : Reflections on Ed Miller’s SSH and how it changed my results
In the middle of a comical three-tabling session, I manage to flop a rather nice nut flush. Against two opponents, you don’t often find yourself 32/1 favourite against the field…
Party Poker
Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.50/$1
9 players.
Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is MP2 with q♥ a♥
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 raises, Hero calls, 4 folds, BB calls, UTG+1 3-bets, MP1 Caps, Hero calls, BB calls, UTG+1 calls.
Flop: 9♥ j♥ 5♥ (16.5SB, 4 players)
BB checks, UTG+1 bets, MP1 raises, Hero calls, BB folds, UTG+1 calls.
Turn: j♠ (11.3BB, 3 players)
UTG+1 bets, MP1 calls, Hero raises, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls.
River: j♦ (17.3BB, 3 players)
UTG+1 checks, MP1 bets, Hero folds, UTG+1 calls.
Results:
Final pot: 19.3BB
(MP1 shows Th Ts , UTG+1 shows 8h Kh)
But sometimes, it seems, 97% just isn’t enough. (Note that a few hands later, on another table, my opponent flopped the nut flush, I hit a set on the turn, but my own miracle remained incomplete. Bah!)
I guess the river fold was risky. Well, ok, I should call this every time. I’m almost certainly beaten, but you never know. Better to lose 1BB here every time you are shown a full house, than to fold and cry every time you are shown two lower flushes…
If you are looking for the Hand converter itself, follow this link:
Currently supported sites
- Poker room skins - Web HH, and HH from session browser
- Party Poker - HH from hard drive
- Poker Stars - HH from hard drive
- Absolute Poker - HH from the client - added 24/11/05
- Prima Poker
- Paradise Poker
- Ultimate Bet
- Cryptologic (Exact extent of crypto site support not known - suck it and see!)
- Full Tilt Poker (haven’t checked whether this is 100% supported)
The converter can handle Limit Holdem, No Limit Holdem, and Pot Limit Holdem, and can convert ring game and tournament hands.
The converter should be able to cope with any number of players going in at any time during a hand. If you find it is not handling that correctly, please let me know.
Update: The hand converter is now set up to work with Omaha hands. This is untested across the supported sites (the “Display results” option especially will be affected). Again: suck it and see!
