No time for witticisms this week - just some pure 30 second back of an envelope guesses. Lawro pipped me by one result last week, but let’s see if I can outdo him this time around. I seem to have missed the start of the Wigan v Arsenal game, but I reckon it will be, ooh, I don’t know, 3-2 to the Gooners at half time, and 5-3 at full time.

Tricky one. Liverpool have had a good week, but tradition has it that they suffer after Champions League games under Benitez. This means they’ll win by two goals at most. It’d be great to see Crouch on the scoresheet at last. It’d be even greater to see Rafa play two up front… Crouch and Cisse perhaps?

Crazy little pixellites with only two or three animations, but seemingly full of individual character and flair, ridiculous aftertouch and speed, balls bouncing off the post at a million miles an hour, and the casualties of ill-time sliding tackles lying strewn across the turf. It can only be the return of Sensible Soccer to a console near you.

As long as they leave the familiar sounding, but somehow not quite right, player names in, and limit the sound to some simple chants and whistles, and resist the tweakers temptation too much, all should be well. But then, you think - this or PES5? Surely no contest…

A football Right - time to cast off my blinkers, and send them hurtling to the horizon. Charlton are better away from home than last season, Liverpool will never score again, Chelsea do concede goals, and Blackburn are once again a great team.

A footballOh yeah. 3 spot on last week, which isn’t bad, although there was no money in it since I didn’t have time to put any bets on. C’est la vie.

Here’s this week’s hastily gathered numbers:

A footballI guess week two was a flash in the pan… Oh well, let’s see if I can get lucky again this week. No prizes for spotting the usual Anfield bias…
