200 days today since I smoked my last, at Geneva airport, coming back from a ski-ing trip. Take that, BAT!

I used to smoke Royals, which weren’t my brand of choice in the end, but they were cheaper than most others. Let’s call it 20-a-day, so we get a nice round number. Not only is that 4000 cigarettes that I haven’t smoked since I gave up, but it’s about £850 in my pocket.
Or at least it was until this weekend, because that’s almost exactly how much I spent on a car. Images of which will appear in due course.

It’s the Singularity! My world is changing faster than I can accept. I’m looking forward to the car pictures. I’m expecting some sort of converged monstrosity that can also be used for making phone calls, listening to music, flying, and automatically washing dishes.
Congrats on being clean for 200 days! I recently passed the 2 years without a cig mark and I’ve never looked back. Don’t seem to have saved any cash but that’s an entirely different story!
Thanks
I’m only 530 or so days behind you…
I was flicking through the totally annoying Allen Carr book yesterday (0 from 2 for Allen in our house) and he mentions saving money as one of the false motives. I have to disagree. Not only do I not smoke, but the amount I would have spent is now sitting outside my house on four wheels. I’d call that a pretty good incentive in the end, even if it’s just a happy by-product.
