Ski-ing

Somewhere in France, January 2005. After a life-time of avoiding ski-ing for a number of reasons: if I hadn’t done it before I would have to learn, which would involve effort, pain, and possibly tantrums; it’s expensive; it’s surely less fun than wandering through beautiful towns, villages or coastlines. Imagine my surprise, then, when I became officially addicted as quick as you could say parallel turn.
